Moody 45AC Classic – Pre-Purchase Condition Survey, Cleopatra Marina, Preveza

Another rewarding assignment this week with a full pre-purchase condition survey and valuation carried out on the Moody 45AC Classic Edelweiss of Cowes, inspected ashore at Cleopatra Marina, Preveza on behalf of a new owner, Mr Jan Willem.
Built in 2016 by Hanse Yachts AG (Germany) to a design by Bill Dixon, the Moody 45AC Classic is a rare example of a true modern cruiser combining traditional elegance with solid offshore capability. This particular vessel has been meticulously maintained by her single owner from new and presented in excellent cosmetic and structural condition throughout.
The inspection included a full hull and structural survey, machinery and systems review, and a comprehensive inventory verification. Findings confirmed the vessel to be in very good order with no significant defects observed. Particular highlights included her recently renewed saildrive diaphragm, upgraded batteries and seacocks, a Fischer Panda generator, new Quantum sails, and a 2024 GRP tender and outboard.
Internally, the high-gloss mahogany joinery and quality fittings reflected both the design pedigree and careful ownership. Moisture readings and structural checks across the hull, keel, and rudder confirmed excellent integrity, with only minor cosmetic items noted.
As part of the report, a fair market valuation of €285,000 was concluded, fully supported by recent comparable listings and her overall condition.
This survey was commissioned through Network Yacht Brokers Lefkada, who continue to represent a strong portfolio of well-maintained blue-water yachts in the Ionian region.
